Which is the better butter? I have no idea, which is why I now have 10 jars of nut butter in my house. Unfortunately, that is not an exaggeration. I couldn’t make up my mind the last few times I went to the grocery store… I saw these awesome kinds that just looked sooo good and I had to try them, and I have been reading about them on other people’s blogs… I just could not help myself. Argh.
I went grocery shopping and here are the butters I got today:

So now, with these purchases, here is my nut butter breakdown of what I currently have:
- Peanut Butter & Co. Dark Chocolate Dreams
- Peanut Butter & Co. Cinnamon Raisin Swirl
- MaraNatha chunky peanut butter
- MaraNatha cashew butter
- MaraNatha raw almond butter
- Barney Butter chunky almond butter
- Naturally More peanut butter
- Sunbutter sunflower seed butter
- Regular PB2
- Chocolate PB2
Yeah. So I am cut off from buying any more nut butters for, like, an extremely long time.
Some other goodies I picked up while shopping:
Cantaloupe (I started cutting it up before I remembered to take a pic. It looked so good and I was starving!)

I also got something called a Hami melon, which I had never heard of. It looked interesting, had skin kind of like a cantaloupe but was more yellowish, bigger and longer. And it was on sale, so I couldn’t resist trying a new fruit:

Also got cereal, sardines, cheese, eggbeaters:

My fresh veggie fix:

And my ice cream fix (Dreyer’s was on sale this week, so Dreyers it was!)

And these two suspicious items may or may not have found their way into my cart. I hate it when that happens.

Lunch was:

After an afternoon of meetings (who schedules meetings all Friday afternoon???) I had a snack of cereal and some cantaloupe:

I totally did NOT want to go to the gym today. That rarely is the case, I’m not sure what my problem was and why I so did not want to go. But I know that I won’t be going tomorrow (it is S’s birthday so we are going to celebrate and go go-karting and do fun stuff all day) so I made myself go. Now I’m glad I did, of course. I did 40 minutes on the elliptical.
I have some good stuff planned for S’s birthday tomorrow… more on that after tomorrow. His family didn’t do much for birthdays and he didn’t get any presents or anything, so I wanted to make this one special.
When I got home from the gym I was ravenous again, so I just finished off the other half of the cantaloupe. That was one good melon!

Not sure what is on tap for tonight. S said he wanted to go bowling, so that might be the plan. It’s his birthday weekend, so I think I have to smile and nod and do whatever he wants to do
Family drama is still going on. Everybody is annoyed that they want to just go to the courthouse and get married now. My mother is begging my sister to sign a prenup, but my sister doesn’t want to. She thinks it is a bad way to start off a marriage and a life together. My mom says she won’t go to the wedding if she doesn’t. And my other sister is bouncing back and forth about what she wants to do. Meanwhile, my dad just got married last year and he: 1. Got married at the courthouse and 2. Didn’t sign a prenup… so he can’t exactly say anything. For not the first time, I’m glad that I live on the other side of the country and only have to hear about this drama second-hand and over the phone. But my mom has told me that I definitely should not change my plans for Switzerland in any way. First of all because there is more than a 50% chance my sister will change her mind again, and second of all because it’s going to be small and she feels that my sister knew that by making this kind of last-minute decision without taking other people into account, people wouldn’t be able to attend. I still feel bad about it, but at least I feel better knowing that at least everybody else understands my position…
What do you think about prenups?

I’m all for the pre-nup. We have one.
To me, it’s like insurance. When you buy a car, you don’t have any intention of getting into an accident, or having a rock fly through the windshield, but stuff happens, so you insure the car.
And just like dying without a will, if, somewhere down the road, things go sour, w/no pre-nup, the state you file your papers in will get to decide how your property is divided. While I’m not a control freak, I say ‘no thanks!’ to that though. (The fact that our fine state is going bankrupt might have a little to do with that…lol)
Just my 2 cents’ worth!
“And these two suspicious items may or may not have found their way into my cart. I hate it when that happens.” hahaha agreed. you should have seen my shopping cart today. all comfort food.
